EDI Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service

Aim

The EDI Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service underpins the knowledge and understanding included in the EDI Level 2 NVQ Certificate in Customer Service and as such is appropriate for students of customer service or employees working within a customer service role. The qualification is recognised as the knowledge and understanding element within the Customer Service Apprenticeship.

Credit

The EDI Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service has a credit value of 13 or more.

Progression

Learners who achieve the Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service can progress on the Level 3 Certificate and the NVQ level 3 in Customer Service (both part of the Advanced Apprenticeship for Customer Service). In addition, learners may also progress onto a supervisory role.

National Certificate for Personal Licence Holders

Aim

Level 2 Award for Personal Licence Holders (APLH) - This award covers essential knowledge of the legal framework surrounding the sale of alcohol in England and Wales as well as key information on the responsibilities of Personal Licence Holders, duties of the Designated Premises Supervisor, the role of licensing authorities and police powers regarding licensed premises.

This licensing qualification is accredited by Ofqual and approved by the Home Office, and has been designed to meet the statutory requirements of the Licensing Act 2003.

Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail (QCF)

Aim

The HABC Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail has been accredited by the regulators of England, Wales and Northern Ireland (Ofqual, Welsh Government and CCEA) and is part of the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). It is supported by Skillsmart Retail, the Sector Skills Council for retail.

The Level 2 Award in Food Safety for Retail is a qualification aimed at food handlers working or preparing to work in a retail environment.

Learners gaining this qualification will know that food safety is the responsibility of everyone involved in the storage, preparation and handling of food. Its topics are regarded by the Foods Standards Agency as being important to maintaining good practice in the production of safe food. This qualification is made up of one mandatory unit. Learners must successfully complete the assessment for the unit to achieve the qualification. The qualification can be taken as a free standing qualification or as part of a wider programme of training.

Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW)

Aim

The Emergency First Aid Course is mainly to help and comfort the suddenly ill, injured person. It is a temporary care till the competent Emergency Medical service Arrive.

Previous learning requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. This is a one-day course; all successful candidates should be able to ensure:

  • Understand the role of the first aider
  • The importance of Protect cross infection
  • Use of available First Aid equipment
  • Assess the situation and circumstances in order to act safely, promptly and effectively in an emergency
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is unconscious (including seizure)
  • Administer cardiopulmonary resuscitation
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is choking
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is wounded and bleeding
  • Administer first aid to a casualty who is suffering from shock
  • Provide appropriate first aid for minor injuries (including small cuts, grazes and bruises, minor burns and scalds, small splinters)
  • The importance of recording incidents and actions

This course is very important to any person who is responsible First Aider for any company or own work station. Most work place have least a one person fully trained to deal with any suddenly ill, injured person. This could be their colleagues or customer. This a legal requirement in many country. It is also important that to ensure all course, certificate is issued by own country health and safety approved centre
